            The Sugar Factory of 2500 TCD, put up by Chennai based Empee Group of Companies headed by Sri M.P. purushothaman as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company, has started its maiden crushing during 1991 – 92. Season. Government of Andhra Pradesh has declared 12 Revenue Mandals of Gudur Division in Nellore District comparing of 396 villages as the reserved zone of Empee Sugars & Chemicals Limited. The reserved area of Empee Sugars & Chemicals Limited is totally depending n bore wells irrigation as there is no canal system available in the area. There is a good ground water potential in this area. On an average, cane is cultivated in about 12000 to 13000 acres in this factory area. Apart from the sugar cane grower’s of families, thousand of families are  engaged as agriculture laborers for cane cultivation. Around 6000 laborers are more important from different areas for sugar cane harvesting and live here around 5 to 6 months. They will be making around Rs. 40000 to 50000 per family for season after meeting their stay expenses at factory. On an average 3.5 lakhs tones of cane is handled over period of 150 days in the season. The Management is expanding the mills during the current year to stabiles at 3000 TCD. So as to handle 4.5 Lakh tone of cane from this season onwards.

SSS CADD Centre :

            The Memorandum of Understanding signed between NBKR Institute of Science & Technology and SSS CADD Centre, specifies that SSS CADD Centre shall conduct a training program on Mechanical CADD for the benefit of Mechanical Engineering students at the College premises.

            B. Seenaiah & Co Power Projects Limited, Podalakur, was established in the year 2003, with an initial investment of Rs. 25 crore. It has the capacity of power generation of 3 Mega Watts per day. The company has given employment for more than 200 people. It is the only company generating power from Bio-Mass in Nellore District.

            Balaji Steel Corporation, Venlatachalam was established in the year 1991 with an initial investment of Rs. 5 crores. Its product range includes a variety of steel ingots per annum. The company has generated employment for 472 people.

M/s. Simhapuri Agro Products Ltd., :

Simhapuri Agro Products Ltd., Manubolu was established in the month of June 1997, with an initial investment of 4 crore rupees. The company produces agro products, mainly Plam Oil. This company gave employment to more than 100 people. The company has the capacity to produce 8000 Tonnes of Oil.
